Helpful Daven

What would the world be like without Daddies? Daven is such a good daddy to Kaub. He helps out so much. This is the perfect picture of what Daven is like. He's sweet with him and loves him. Kaub will only smile for Daven. Daven can walk into the room and say, "hey son!" and Kaub turns his head. And once Kaub focuses in on Daven's face he'll smile for him. I'm a little jealous but he hears my voice all of the time and I know I'll get a smile eventually. I knew Daven would be great and having been blessed with Kaub in our life has made all of our dreams come true.

Kaub has discovered his hair. He pulls it all of the time. And I finally captured it on film. Good thing he has a lot of hair that if he pulls on it, you can't tell. He's getting fatter by the minute too.
"My parents made it through our first full Sunday at church. Daddy held me the whole sacrement meeting. Good thing I was asleep. After crying during the opening prayer during sunday school, finally mom got the bottle fixed, she tried to heat up the cold bottle, then the bottle exploded all over myself, getting another bottle made and a clean blanket out of the car, I finished up the cold bottle because I was just hungry, I cried a lot, we made it to sunday school just in time for the closing prayer and there I slept again. Good first week!"

ZION'S NATIONAL PARK
Daven's mom said that any trip wouldn't be complete if we didn't have a shot of us with Daven holding the camera looking down on us. So here it is. Daven holding the camera on our drive to Zion's National park near St. George, UT. We met Krista's family for a little family reunion for a few days. We had so much fun hiking and getting hot. But there was rain and a river close by to cool off. We hiked to the top of Angel's Landing which was pretty scary but really fun. Even Krista's mom made most of the journey to the top!!
Our adoption story is continuing and our prayers are with birthmother's everywhere!!
